Summer is officially here and there are so many cute things in stores to wear for the season. It makes you really want to run right out and pick up all of the latest pieces to add to your closet, but you don’t always have to buy new clothes. You can refresh your summer wardrobe by repurposing pieces you already have and creating new looks.
I love taking things I already own and finding new ways to wear them. Adding a few new things for the season here and there is great, but for the most part I try to use what I have (especially if I really like something).
Whether you’re on a budget and don’t want to spend a ton of money buying new stuff; or you have things that you already purchased and want to wear again. You can take those same pieces and style them a totally different way. It’s the next best thing to buying new clothes. It’s fun and can save you a lot of money.
Here are four fun summer looks that totally refreshed my summer wardrobe:
Look 1
One Piece Jumper // Blazer // Nude Mule // Clutch Bag
I styled a very old jumpsuit that I know is about four years old (and has been sitting in my closet forever) with this lightweight blazer I recently purchased and added my new favorite summer shoe. This mule is EVERYTHING!
Look 2
Coca Cola Graphic Tee // High Waist Flare Leg Jeans // Red Mule Sandal
If you have been following any of my recent blog post, then you know how much I love a Graphic Tee. I think jeans and a tee are probably one of my signature go-to looks. The jeans are probably a year old from Target. I paired them with this cute tee and another great pair of bright red mules that I recently added to my shoe collection.
Look 3
Black Bodysuit // Black Floral Print Paper Bag Pants // Nude Mule Sandal
The only thing new in this look are the shoes. This black bodysuit is about two or three years old and I paired them with these old pants from H&M. I told you guys this shoe is my new favorite thing to wear and as you can see they can be dressed up or down.
Look 4
Distressed Denim Shirt // Denim Shorts // Red Mule Sandal
An oldie, but a goodie is ‘Denim on Denim’. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with this look. This denim shirt and the shorts are old from Target last year. I am a stickler for a pair of jeans and a matching denim shirt, but this time I went with shorts. It’s a super fun look and another outfit that can be dressed up or down. And who doesn’t love denim with a pop of bright red? Yes Please! Which look is your fav?
