My Bruschetta Recipe

FOOD_0905

Bruschetta is by far one of my favorite things to eat. They are easy to make and they only take a few minutes in the oven.  Bruschetta is an Italian appetizer that is simply pieces of bread that are toasted and then topped with garlic and tomatoes.

Well I took the basic idea of the dish and sort of made it my own. It’s simple and so yummy! You can use them for a dinner party or you can make them for a snack on a casual night in!

  • 1 Loaf of French or Italian bread (I recommend French)
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Mozzarella cheese (to sprinkle on top)
  • Dried parsley for garnish
  • Cracked sea salt, garlic powder (I use a combination of sea salt and garlic powder)

Slice your bread into medium slices (about an inch in thickness). Dice your tomatoes and top your bread with the diced tomatoes. Drizzle your olive oil onto your bread and tomatoes. Crack the sea salt and garlic powder onto the bread and tomatoes (the olive oil helps the salt and garlic stick). Then top each piece with the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle them with the dried parsley to add color and to garnish. The green parsley will look pretty with the red tomatoes. Place in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for about 11 to 12 minutes.   Serve hot and enjoy!
