Style Sessions: 5 Stylish Mom Outfits

blazer w/jeans on stool

There was a time when becoming a mother seemed to mean that you had to be this matronly looking woman.  You weren’t expected to have any style, and everything that you wore was oversized and did not compliment your body.

Those days are far behind us, now the women of the next generations have redefined what it means to be a mom. We are bosses balancing home life, successful careers, and we refuse to sacrifice our identity and style!

I love taking classic pieces and mixing them with some trendier/edgier things. It’s a way to always look chic and stylish. Comfort and versatility are two other key components for me when I am putting looks together.  I love pieces that can be worn different ways and that fit well so I’m super comfy.  I think it is a great idea to have a “uniform” of sorts, by this I mean go-to outfits that you can wear anytime.  You know they will fit well, will be super comfortable and look effortless.

Here are 5 Stylish Mom Outfits:

blazer look w/jeans rack shot

Look 1

Blazer // H&M ~ White Tee // H&M ~ Jeans // Target ~ Sneakers // Steve Madden

I love a pair of jeans and a white tee.  It’s a classic look that will basically never go out of style, like EVER! When you add a simple blazer to the mix, you are talking pure style perfection.  It takes a simple look up ten notches and is effortlessly chic.  Sneakers add the comfort element that is a must for me with any outfit.

eyelet blouse w/ jeans look

Look 2

Eyelet Top // Target ~ Jeans // Same as above ~ Mule Slides // Old (similar) ~ Bag // Coach

This top is so girly, the puff sleeves are so on trend right now and the eyelet detail is an added bonus.  Not to mention the pop of color.  Pairing this top with jeans is typical, but the leather slides add the perfect touch.  The slides are elegant, chic, and so comfortable,  but you don’t look like you’re trying too hard.

This bag is heavy in my rotation right now, so much that I had to have it in both colors.   It comes with a leather strap and a chain strap that matches the hardware.  You can shorten either of the straps or wear them crossbody.  It’s such a classy bag that can sort of dress up any outfit.

paper bag pants w/top and sneakers

Look 3

Sweatshirt Top // Target ~ Pants // Old (similar) ~ Sneakers // Same as above ~ Glasses // Amazon

I absolutely love this look! This top is like a sweatshirt and a blouse had a baby; it’s a sweatshirt like material with the puffy sleeve accent.  It’s such a comfortable shirt.  Paired with these paper bag style pants in this army green color and this statement sneaker is just so fun.  Two things that might not typically go together make the perfect style duo!

stripe button down w/ khakis and sneakers look

Look 4

Button Down Shirt // Old (similar) ~ Pants // Old (similar) ~ Sneakers // Adidas ~ Bag // Coach

This look is a take on the classic preppy look of khakis and a button down shirt.  I love these pants because they’re not your typical straight leg khaki pant.  They have a wide leg flare that just is super cool.  You can wear them with a bunch of different tops since they are this neutral color.  Comfort is easily achievable with this outfit.  The preppy look is another style that will only evolve, but will never go away.

graphic tee w/ skirt and sneakers look

Look 5

Graphic Tee // EllandEmm ~ Skirt // Old (similar) ~ Sneakers // Adidas ~ Bag // Same as above

This outfit is giving me major 50’s sock hop vibes! I love how flowy and girly this skirt is, the fitted graphic tee gives the perfect balance so it really accentuates the right areas.  This look still gives you that comfort and also says “I may be a mommy but I am a stylish women too!”
