6 Little Luxuries Under $100

Luxury–  the state of great comfort and extravagant living; an inessential, desirable item that is expensive or difficult to obtain

For a long time luxury has been synonymous with wealth, excess, and exclusivity.  It is thought of as this lofty thing that was somewhat unattainable unless you were a celebrity or a billionaire.  The idea of something like shoes or a piece of clothing costing the same as a mortgage payment or a car note is almost impossible for a lot of people to digest.

These days luxury doesn’t have to be a million-dollar yacht or a $50,000 Birkin bag.  Little luxuries have become a big thing and are so on-trend.  With self-care and mental health being at the forefront, people are finding different ways to treat themselves.  Doing things that make us feel good are so important, especially during these crazy times.

Little luxuries are things that may be nonessential but will make your life beautiful and bring you joy.  I have compiled a list of things that will add some luxury to your life and won’t break the bank.

Here are 6 Little Luxuries Under $100:

Fresh Flowers

I have always wanted to be the type of woman that had fresh flowers in her house.  One of those “luxuries” that seemed far off.  Flowers are super expensive, especially when you get into the exotic kinds and having arrangements specially made by the florist.  My hack for not spending a lot of money is going to my local grocery store and picking from their selection.  They usually have a variety of flower types and price ranges, so you decide how much you want to spend.  I just get a few big bunches and find a pretty vase and make my own arrangement.  The most I’ve spent on flowers is probably $20.  Fresh flowers can change the whole look and feel of your home.  Fair warning: once you starting putting fresh flowers in your house it will become something that you will want to do all of the time.

*Super Hack: if you’re a member of a wholesale club like Sam’s club or Costco you can find amazing deals on the most beautiful flowers and you can get a lot for a little bit.

White Dishes

You don’t have to go to a fancy restaurant to use beautiful white dishes.  White plates are what all of the professionals use.  They just make food look so much better and they make you feel fancy and special.  I mean nothing screams luxury like eating my favorite cereal in a pretty white porcelain bowl.

You can find white dishes for dirt cheap at places like HomeGoods and Tuesday Morning.  I have amassed a gorgeous collection of bowls, plates, and platters that I use when I entertain and also for dinner every day.  You can easily start your own collection for $100 or less.

Candles

Candles are probably one of the easiest ways to add a little luxury to your life.  HomeGoods is my jam for anything candle-related, they have some of the most luxurious and expensive-looking candles for unbelievably low prices.

Coffee Table Books

Guys I absolutely LOVE coffee table books! They are a great way to decorate your space and make it look like a million-dollar Architectural Digest home.  Amazon is one of my go-to shops to find coffee table books.  Sometimes you can get lucky and get used books that are like new.  Another great place is TJ Maxx/Home Goods/Marshalls.  I got a Prabal Gurung coffee table book on clearance for $16.

Perfume

If you want to add a little luxury to your life, a nice fragrance will definitely do the trick.  Perfume makes you feel beautiful and sexy.  There are some pretty pricey ones on the market, but you can find a lot of nice fragrances for under $100.  I know I’m pretty redundant, but TJ Maxx and Marshalls are a gold mine for finding some really nice perfumes.

Pretty Mugs

My coffee obsession is real.  I look forward to having a cup every morning, but I look forward to picking my mug even more.  Collecting pretty mugs is just one of those little things that seem small but bring me so much joy.  This mug here and here (on sale) is currently in heavy rotation and they are such a great price point.  They make really great gifts and are just a nice way to treat yourself.

You deserve luxury! You don’t have to wait for a special occasion or be super rich to enjoy nice things. These little luxuries will add some style and beauty to your life and be a pick-me-up on those days when you aren’t feeling the best.  Share some of the little luxuries that you enjoy with me in the comments.
